PV550 Solar Pump Inverter for Large Off-grid Farm Irrigation (Multi-pump Coordination)
日期:2026-10-12 浏览次数:9
The hard part of large off-grid farm irrigation is not just 'having water' but supplying it steadily and economically under varying light and crop water demand. Using a typical grid-far large field as an example, the PV550 solar pump inverter deploys in a multi-pump coordinated way as follows.
System composition
- Multiple PV arrays + multiple PV550 units: each PV550 drives a well or booster pump, distributed to match field layout.
- Reservoir / elevated tank: stores water when solar is abundant by day, buffering drip/sprinkler supply.
- Grid/diesel backup port: auto-engages during prolonged clouds or peak demand to avoid irrigation cuts.
Key capabilities
- MPPT: each array still lifts as much as possible under weak light or clouds.
- PV/grid auto-switch: solar-led on sunny days lowers fuel and power cost; seamless grid backup on cloudy days.
- Off-peak lifting: schedule each pump by crop water rhythm to smooth demand and supply peaks.
Benefit
Versus all-diesel lifting, a solar-led setup cuts long-term fuel and maintenance cost and avoids running grid lines to every field edge. Exact config (pump power, array size, unit count) depends on area, head and crop water demand.
